The simple answer is that Jobbit is an app that lets anyone post a job so that it can be found by other users that can perform the job. Those users are then able to bid on what payment they would like for performing the job.

The job poster then picks a worker that seems suitable for the job. The job gets done, payment is exchanged and both the worker and job poster give eachother a rating based on how the job experience was.

In a broader sense, Jobbit has the ambition to revolutionise how the world works. By using Jobbit, people are allowed more freedom in how they work since we cut out the middle man (in this ccase the company that would usually provide employment). Jobbit also aims to give people more freedom by allowing them to outsource tasks that they are not able to do – or do not have time to do – by themselves.

In short – Jobbit is the new way to get it done!

Posting a job is a very easy process

• Tap on the big plus sign on the bottom of the screen
• Snap a picture of what you need done (“How do I take a picture of doing my laundry?”, you might think. Well, you don’t have to include a picture, but our statistics show that you’ll get a better response rate if you do. So, maybe take a picture of your washing machine?) You can also choose a photo from your gallery.
• Add some details about what needs to be done, when and where etc.
• Set the price you want to pay. Sometimes it’s difficult to know exactly how much a job should cost, but don’t worry – if the price you posted is too high, then the bidding process will lower it to the right rate, if it is too low, bidding will increase the rate.
• Preview your job posting and check that everything looks correct
• Once you’re happy, tap “Publish”!

That’s it, now you just need to wait for some Jobbit workers to bid on your job.

Right, so you posted a job and some Jobbit workers are interested in getting it done for you! Picking a worker is very easy. 

• Go to My posts and klick on the job 
• Have a look at the workers that have placed bids on your job. You can see the price they have given and also their rating. The rating comes from actual jobs they have done before, so a good worker usually has a high rating. 
• You can choose whichever worker you want, but you are able to sort the bids based on either Rating (who has the highest rating?), Price (Who gave the lowest bid?) and Price per rating (Who has the highest rating and the lowest bid?) 
• Once you have decided who should do the job, tap on “Pick a worker”, select the worker you want and tap “Get it done!” The worker you have selected will get a notification that you have selected them. 
• A chat window will open up at the bottom of the screen where you can communicate with the worker and discuss the details about the job. 
• After the job is completed you will need to rate the worker who has performed the job before you can keep using the app.

First you have to write a CV, cover letter and.. No just kidding! We don’t do it like that anymore, applying for a job is just a couple of taps away! 

• Find a job that you think looks interesting for you to do. You can use the different search and filtering options in the Overview screen to find the jobs that suit you. 
• Have a look at how far away the job is (check the map!) and look at the details about what needs to be done. 
• Once you have found a job that’s right for you, tap on “Place bid” and give an amount that you think is fair payment for the job. 
• The employer has given a start price for the job, but you can chose to go higher or lowe than that. 
• If there are more people that have placed bids on the job, it’s a good idea to take a look at the price they have offered and what their rating looks like. Make sure your bid is competative! 
• If the employer thinks your price is good and wants you to do the job you will get a notification that you won the bidding!

All right, good job, you got your first job! Now we’ve got work to do! 

• When an employer selects you to do the job you will get a notification. 
• When you go to the job details for the job that you have won, there will be a chat window where you can communicate with the employer about what should be done. 
• Communicate with the employer and agree on the details. 
• Get to work! Once you start the job you need to confirm in the app that the job is started. Go to “My jobs” and open the job, tap on “Begin work”. 
• Once the job is completed, go to the job details again and tab “Job completed” 
• When you have received payment from the employer, tap on “Confirm payment” 
• After the job and payment has been completed, you should rate the employer before you can continue using the app.

Currently we don’t have functionality for editing ads in the Jobbit app (we’re working on this for a future update, sorry for the inconvenience!) 

To change your ad, tap on the job details, tap on “Delete ad” and then start again by adding a new job posting!

If you post a job that violates our community guidelines (i.e. something offensive or illegal) other users may report your job. If it is reported three times it will be removed for review by the Jobbit team. 

It may be that your post was reported incorrectly, in that case it will be put back on Jobbit after the review is completed!

In the current version of the app you will need to take care of paying taxes and other fees yourself. The employer and worker should agree on how it should be handled. 

We’re working on a feature to take care of this for you in an upcoming version of the app, so stay tuned! 

Remember to check what rules apply in your country. For example in the Philippines you are allowed to earn quite a lot before taxes and fees become applicable!

Any dispute regarding the job needs to be resolved between the employer and worker. Try to discuss with the worker about how you can fix the issue. If you are not satisfied, you can give the worker a low rating to make sure that future users are aware that there may be issues.

Payment is handled outside of the Jobbit app, you pay directly to the worker after the job is completed. You can use any means of payment that is acceptable for the worker and it’s a good idea to use the chat first to decide how payment should be done.

Change your password by tapping on “Forgot password” in the login screen. You will get an email with instruction about how to change your password. If you don’t get an email, check your spam inbox in case your email provider has marked the email as suspicious.
